This research is organized and compiled in line with the “critique and examination of Theodor Nöldeke’s views on the orthography and recitation of the Quran,” as well as a collection of significant hypotheses and discussions raised regarding the Quranic recitations and orthography. It aims to establish the divine origin and authenticity of the Quranic text through verses, narrations, historical evidences, etc., and to address the objections raised by Nöldeke and some Orientalists concerning the sacred text of the Quran on this subject. The present study employs a descriptive and analytical method with a critical approach, organizing and analyzing collected data to conduct an analytical re-examination of Theodor Nöldeke’s views on the recitation of the Quran. Theodor Nöldeke believes that the Prophet (PBUH) acknowledged the existence of linguistic errors in the Quran but attributed them to the writers and considered them their responsibility. The findings of this research indicate that the orthography and writing of the Quran are distinct from its recitation, as the source of recitation is narrations and documents, while the source of orthography is the conventional methods of writing. Therefore, Quranic verses should be recited as they were transmitted, not according to their orthography and writing. The foundation of recitation is the oral transmission received from the Prophet (PBUH), and the orthography of the Quran is based on recitation. Nöldeke’s objections regarding the orthography and text of the Quran are fundamentally invalid because his arguments on this matter are flawed and incomplete in proving his views.
