Abstract
The studies of Western scientists around the East have long history and have influenced the activities of many researchers, each of whom has contributed to the formation of such studies, that is, the Orientalism with a scientific approach.
In the meantime, Sylvester Du sacy is one of the prolific people who has made many efforts in expanding the studies of oriental languages in France and then in Europe and has brought linguistic studies to a new stage. Du sacy has had an important impact on the historical studies of oriental studies and has brought about a significant change in it.
Using library resources, descriptive method and data collection, this article seeks to answer the question that what effect did Sylvester Du sacy have in Islamic studies, especially in Eastern languages?
The findings indicate that with the ambivalent actions of Du sacy the orientalism entered a new stage that may be referred to as scientific Orientalism, and this effect has been shown in the field of orientalism.
